SEM Manager (Google / Bing Ads)

Part-Time (20 hrs/week) | Remote | NYC or EMEA Regions

Calling all Google Ads pros, paid media freelancers, and digital nomads. Vallo Media is looking for a mid-level SEM Manager with strong expertise in Google and Bing Ads to join us on a part-time basis, with the opportunity to grow into a full-time role after a brief introductory period.

About the Role

This is a Google Ads–first role, overseeing a large-scale eCommerce account, with additional exposure across other platforms and channels over time. The engagement starts at a maximum of 20 hours per week and can expand as the relationship and workload grow.

The role has a strong focus on:

  • Search, Shopping, and Performance Max
  • Large product catalogs and seasonal demand
  • Revenue-driven structure, testing, and optimization

You’ll own day-to-day execution and optimization of Google & Bing Ads while collaborating closely with senior strategists on account direction, creative strategy, and growth opportunities.

You will also be expected to provide strategic recommendations, ideas for account improvement, and high-level council on overall ad accounts and business strategy.

What You’ll Do

  • Own and optimize Google Ads accounts for a high-volume eCommerce advertiser
  • Manage and scale Search, Shopping, and Performance Max campaigns
  • Analyze performance data and make informed optimization decisions
  • Partner on creative strategy, including ad copy, promotions, and offer testing
  • Support various seasonal initiatives, including strategy for catalog and retargeting campaigns
  • Ensure accurate tracking and measurement using GA4 and Google Tag Manager
  • Identify opportunities to expand or improve account performance
  • Prepare clear performance insights and recommendations for internal and client-facing discussions

What We’re Looking For

  • 3–6+ years of hands-on paid media experience
  • Deep expertise in Google Ads for eCommerce (Search, Shopping, Performance Max)
  • Experience managing large product catalogs and complex account structures
  • Strong understanding of both B2B and eCommerce buying behavior
  • Proficiency with GA4, Google Tag Manager, and conversion tracking
  • Ability to advise on creative strategy and promotional testing
  • Strong analytical skills and comfort working with performance data
  • Professional-level English communication (written and spoken)

Location & Collaboration

  • Fully remote role
  • NYC tri-state area preferred
  • Exclusive access to our co-working space and athletic country club in Red Bank, NJ
  • Occasional travel may be required for quarterly client meetings in the tri-state area

Compensation

  • Hourly based on experience
  • Max 20 hours per week to start
